Loft conversions

Loft Conversion

Loft conversions are an excellent way to maximise the space in your house.

There are 3 main ways to have a loft conversion;
first being a roof loft conversion, which is the cheapest and most straight forward option that doesn't require much in terms of structural change.
Second way is a 'dormer loft extension', which is similar to a loft conversion but with the added dormer windows that can increase floor size.
The final way is 'raising the roof', which is the removal and rebuild of the existing roof. This is the most expensive method and does require planning permission.

Fascias, soffits & guttering

Fascias, soffits and guttering

Most roofs are fitted with timber fascia boards, that are fixed on the edge of the rafters, hiding them from view. Soffits are fitted to bridge the gap between the wall and the edge of the roof line. Fascia and soffits can be wood as they are not exposed to the weather. Nevertheless, moisture can build up over time and causes the wood to warp or rot.

All wood soffits and fascia boards can be replaced with Upvc ones in colours that match either your roof or windows.

Please note that most houses will require the erection of scaffolding to ensure the work can be completed as safely as possible. We will discuss all these finer details when you get in touch so that there are no hidden costs along the way.

1st & 2nd Fix Joinery
